You do not need to arrive with the right words. Most people start with something vague, and that is where we begin.
View profileCounsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors across the UK. Registration, insurance and supervision are confirmed before anyone appears, and a listing that lapses comes down.
Every card carries the same checks, and there are no reviews or star ratings anywhere on this site, by design. Where a listing is featured, it says so on the card.

Their registration is checked against their professional body’s own public register, and the expiry date is held so a lapsed membership takes the listing down.
A current professional indemnity certificate is seen, not promised. Cover that runs out is chased before it does.
UK therapists are expected to have their work overseen by a qualified supervisor. The arrangement is confirmed, because it is the profession’s own safety net.
Coaches and wellbeing practitioners carry a different badge with fewer checks, because coaching is not a regulated profession in the UK and there is no register to check. The card says so plainly. Read exactly how verification works.
Every town page lists people who work there in person, alongside those who work online with anyone in the UK.
NHS talking therapies are free in England and you can refer yourself without seeing a GP first. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland your GP can refer you. Six questions to apply. A person checks your registration against your professional body’s public register, and nobody pays before they know they have been accepted.
If you need help now. This site is not an emergency service and nobody here is monitoring it. Call Samaritans free on 116 123 at any hour, or 999 in an emergency.
