Is coaching regulated in the UK?
No. There is no statutory register for coaching, and anybody may use the title. That is why every coaching profile here says so in plain words, and why the coach badge lists only what could be checked: insurance and identity.
What is the difference between a coach and a therapist?
A therapist works with what is troubling you, is on a professional register that can strike them off, and is supervised. A coach works towards goals you set, and is not on a register. Some people want one, some the other, and a profile explains which this person offers.
