Counselling by town and issue
Counselling by town and by issue, across the UK.
These pages list verified counsellors and psychotherapists by town, by the issue you want help with, and by both together. An issue page lists everyone verified who names it among what they work with, and carries no clinical writing: what that thing feels like and what a first session tends to cover is content, and content is published only with a named reviewer. Pages only appear in search engines once there are enough verified therapists to be useful.
By issue
What do people come here for?
One page per issue, from what members say they work with. A tick marks the pages with somebody on them today.
By town
Where do people practise?
One page per town, with a map of the districts where somebody practises. A pin marks the towns with somebody on them today.
What is on an issue page?
Every verified therapist who names that issue among what they work with, in the same card as everywhere else, and nothing ranked.
The page says plainly when nobody is on it yet. It carries no writing about what the issue feels like or how therapy for it tends to go: that is content, and content is published only with a named reviewer, their credentials and a review date.
What is on a town page?
Every verified therapist who practises in or near that town, a map with a shaded circle over each district where somebody practises, and the issues people there work with.
Districts, never addresses: a practice address is often somebody's home. A town and an issue together give one page, for the people who want both.
When does a page appear in search engines?
Once enough verified people are on it to be useful, three at present, counting real members only.
Until then the page exists, resolves and tells the truth, and asks search engines not to list it. Demonstration records never count.
Plain answers
More questions people ask
My town is not listed. What do I do?
Search with the filters instead and leave the town blank, or tick online only: many therapists work by video or phone from anywhere. Towns are added as members list them, and a member may add any town in Great Britain from their profile.
My issue is not listed. What do I do?
The issues come from what members say they work with, so the list grows with them. Answer the six questions instead: you can describe what you want help with in your own words, and the match reads that rather than a list.
Are the therapists on these pages ranked?
No. Filters narrow the list and nothing ranks it. Nobody can pay to be placed higher, and there are no ratings to sort by.
