What does verified mean on this page?
Verified means a person at Gototherapy has checked the therapist's entry on their professional register, seen a current insurance certificate, confirmed their supervision arrangement with the supervisor, and matched their identity to the register entry. It is repeated every year. It is not a recommendation and it says nothing about whether a therapist is right for you.
Roles are checked differently. A coach in the UK has no register, so the coach badge says what was checked and the profile says plainly that there is no register. How we verify, role by role.

How do I use the filters?
Choose what you want help with, a town, or online only, and the list narrows to the people who match. Leave everything blank to see everyone. Filters narrow the list and nothing ranks it: the order is by name, or by town, as you choose.
What does the badge on a card mean?
That a person has checked what it names, for that role, and when. A counsellor's badge means register entry, insurance, supervision and identity. A coach's badge names insurance and identity, and the profile says there is no register. The dates are on the profile. How we verify, role by role.
Why is nobody ranked?
Because ranking would mean deciding for you, and nothing here knows enough to. Nobody can pay to be placed higher, there are no ratings to sort by, and the six questions give you a written reason rather than a score.
What happens when I contact someone?
You write to or call the therapist directly using the details on their profile. Gototherapy is not in the middle and stores nothing about it. Ask about cost and availability in the first message; most reply with both, and many offer a short call first.
